Summer is a wonderful time to proclaim the Gospel to children, both in Romania and in Moldova.
As you know, God has called us to a ministry across the border, so that we can be a blessing to the children of Moldova as well. Also here, summer is a very busy time for the CEF workers with evangelistic programs for children, especially since their summer vacation starts with them on 1 June.
This year we want to do something different and that is to go and spend a few days actually serving in the programs with children organized by our co-workers and other teachers in Moldova.
One Moldovan teacher says, “I prefer to organise day camps because the costs are lower and they are easier to organise. At these camps children do not need special permission from their parents. On the other hand, day camps are a wonderful opportunity to connect children with the local church by having the event in a local church, or by having local church members involved in the organisation and running of the event.”
For each child we meet, we also plan to offer something sweet and a small keepsake (sticker, bookmark, etc) to remind them of the Lord Jesus and the wonderful Gospel message.
