In the past, at the fullness of time, God used light to announce to mankind the incarnation of His Son, the Lord Jesus: the star for the Magi and the shining light of the angels for the shepherds.
These pointed to the Light of the world, Jesus – the One who can give the light of life to those who believe in HIM.
Presently, there is a need to speak to children about these things. The spiritual darkness in which many of them live can only be dispelled through faith in the Light of the world, the Saviour Jesus.
The doors for evangelism open around this celebration of the birth of Jesus. Let us take advantage of these opportunities when the hearts of adults and children are more open.
A child said after an evangelism in December a few years ago: I didn’t know that Emmanuel means “God is with us.” What could I do to be with me too? I don’t know about Him.
We invite you to bring the good news about the Light of the world, Jesus Christ, to as many children as possible:
- In Timiș, we pray that over 10,000 children will hear biblical truths: 1000 children through the programs we will organize ourselves as a family, and 9000 children through programs carried out by volunteers in the Timiș county.
- 30,000 children will receive the “Light” booklet through distribution in villages and towns.
If you want to get involved with us, here are a few ways:
- Support in prayer – we pray for children, that their hearts will open, for teachers, to explain biblical truths correctly, for adults, to heed what they hear, for protection on the journey, for wisdom, open doors, new opportunities.
- Financial support – we pray for God’s provision of the need of €6,000 lei for this period (for gifts, fuel, booklets and ministry expenses)
Jesus said: “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (John 8:12).
