I had just graduated from computer science a few weeks previously and had a career choice to make.
I was living in Scotland at the time and already had several opportunities to work there in the field I had studied. Many were the plans in my heart, but the Lord had another plan for my life.
Proverbs 19:21
Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.
After much thought and prayer, I realized that God wanted me to return to Romania and get involved in the work of CEF, using the knowledge I had gained for His work. Since then, I have been working for the European CEF office in Iasi where I am part of the communication department (social media, photo & video).
Many people have asked me lately why I want to give up a “career” that would perhaps bring me greater material satisfaction.
I firmly believe that we have all been called to carry on the Gospel, but that we each have our part to play in His command to go, like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle joined together for a common purpose. Some are called to support mission ministry financially, some are partners in prayer, and some are involved in direct ministry.
Although the plans in my heart were different, I realized that God was calling me to use the abilities He has gifted me by serving in mission.
I pray that He would continue to use me, and that my plans would be guided by Him, every day. I pray that every child, in every country, will hear of the love and the sacrifice that the Lord Jesus made on the cross.
If you want to be partners in my ministry, you can do so by supporting this project. You can do so either financially (by contributing to the cost of this summer’s course) or by prayer. Together we must and we can take the Gospel to the ends of the earth, fulfilling His command for each one of us.
And if you’ve read this far and don’t want to get involved, I urge you to read the rest of the projects on this site and support another ministry 😀
