Her mother, a friend from university, made arrangements to go to all the children in her village. She is not from an evangelical Christian background, but she believed that the village could change if the children heard something different and someone else talking about values. We went two years in a row to that village, the first year the meeting with ALL the children was at the cultural home, where the mayor himself welcomed us. The second year we were given permission to go from class to class telling the Gospel to the young and old.
The “only” values we passed on was the Gospel message, it was all we had to give and some Christmas gifts. Then shortages meant I couldn’t make it, the village was over an hour and a half away. I really never heard from my colleague again. Last year I invited my uni friends’ children to camp and somehow my colleague from this remote village found out about the camp. I didn’t tell her thinking she would be too far away to send her child. Somehow, however, she found out and sent her with us to day camp in Galati.
Sometimes we make the trip to visit the children. Sometimes they come to us. Let us be ready to share the Gospel with responsibility, putting ourselves and our resources to the advance of the Gospel. Lord willing, we have weeks of summer vacation when we must tell everyone about Christ, the One who has changed the destiny of every Christian.
Thank you for supporting this ministry, to take the Gospel to those who need to hear about Him.
With love,
Corina
