A holiday with a difference!

This was our desire for many children this summer. And God answered the desires of our hearts. Many children heard, for the first time in the right way, about the loving work of the Saviour for each one of them.

We praise the Lord for blessing our plans and having His eyes on this summer work, whether we are talking about His protection on our journeys, or the fact that He takes care of His believers ensuring we had money for all the summer work.

We appreciate the way you chose to get involved with us, whether you prayed or gave towards our work. In the time of distributing tracts, a lady told us: We are glad you passed through our village. It is a beautiful tract, but we need more. Continue to pray for those to know God as their personal Saviour, and for workers to explain the work of God.

The Lord also worked wonderfully during the time of outdoor evangelism. Hundreds of children had the opportunity to learn that they can give back to Him who gave His life for them. A little girl said, at the end of a program: What grand work God has done. I also want to tell my parents what I have heard here. Continue to pray for those who have heard of how they can return to God and for them to make that decision as soon as possible.

The Lord has not stopped here. He continued to work during a special program: What do you want to do when you grow up? In addition to the Bible program with lessons, songs, verses and games, 5 believers presented their professions and what that can do for the Lord in their service. The children were able to find out that even the police, a chef, an engineer, a musician and a teacher can serve God, a child exclaimed: I did not know you could be a Christian policeman and that you could honour God in this profession. Continue to pray for the children, whatever profession they choose, that they would chose to honour Him.

Camp was another place in which God worked. 65 children enjoyed a nice time with committed and well prepared leaders. Events in the life of Esther, which we studied in camp, made the children think that God can work in their lives. One day a boy said: Ah, my sin is a problem. I did not know this. Now I understand why God asks us to be holy, for He is Holy. Continue to pray for the children who were at camp and heard about how God wants to work in their lives as they choose Him and honour Him with their lives.

You have been involved together with us this summer and God has worked. Thank you and we pray that God will bless you.

For many children, it really was a holiday with a difference. Some have accepted the Lord Jesus, others have strengthened their faith in Him. We pray that He will continue to work in children’s lives.
