Missionary Project for Kyrgyzstan 2026

Let's encourage fellow believers in this wonderful country

Dear friends,

We want to share with you our desire to go on a missionary trip to Kyrgyzstan during May/June this year.

Kyrgyzstan is a country in Central Asia, with 90% of the population Muslim. Evangelical believers make up less than 0.5% of the total population.

Being a Christian here means feeling very restricted — we are not allowed to evangelise on the street, to speak openly about our faith, we cannot publicise information about camps and children’s meetings, and churches are not very large. But we see that our God is truly unlimited — He miraculously opens a door every year, in every camp, in every situation. (Alina, a Christian from K.)

The aims of this trip are:

  • to encourage the local believers and the CEF team;
  • to learn more about this country, so that we can share specific prayer requests and needs with others when we return home;
  • to provide support at the camp near Lake Issyk-Kul — both with cleaning and repairs, and by volunteering in two camps.

During a hearing, when speaking about the torture he had endured in communist prisons, Richard Wurmbrand removed his shirt in front of the audience, revealing many deep scars from beatings. He is reported to have said:

“These are my wounds for Christ… But there are many of my brothers in Romania who suffer far more, and there is no one to speak for them.”

His testimony moved thousands of people in the West to begin praying for and supporting Christians in Romania.

We hope that when we return home, many other believers will become aware of the needs and challenges facing our brothers and sisters in Christ. Just as God used people to help our nation in difficult times, we too want to be a blessing to those in K.

The needs for this trip are:

  • Prayer: we are praying for a safe journey and that, throughout our stay, we will be a source of encouragement for the believers and children we will meet.
  • Finances: we aim to cover the camp costs for as many children as possible who will attend (children from poor backgrounds and orphans), and we also hope to contribute to the necessary repairs at the camp centre, as well as to other needs for evangelism throughout the year.

Thank you for your prayers and support!
