A reason for JOY
When visiting a young man in his 20s who was a child at one of our Good News Clubs, he asked us, “Do I have any reason to rejoice? He was recently involved in a tragic accident in which an 18-year-old girl died. He is now sadly awaiting a court decision that will affect his future. According to studies conducted by a health institute (CDC) 9.4% of children aged 3-17 suffered from anxiety in 2016-2019; and 4.4% suffered from depression during that period. This study was conducted before the war in Ukraine and Israel respectively. The figures since then have become even more alarming.
How will children learn about the unspeakable JOY God has given to all mankind? On Christmas night this joy was proclaimed by angels. If they knew that in 33 years Jesus, the Saviour would be crucified on a wooden cross, would they be so excited? Maybe.
We don’t want to lose our enthusiasm to bring this Good News to the counties of North-West Transylvania. We organize seminars on this theme for teachers from Satu Mare county to Harghita and Covasna. We present a beautiful lesson about the fulfilment of the prophecies about the Messiah, and free literature for each child in their group. Besides this we will also have our Christmas groups organized in kindergartens, schools, churches in our county. Our goal is to reach 8,000 children with the message of Joy.
